I must state the following here
1. I do not want to make fun of phi. 1.61803 is used because the pairs 1.61803 and 0.61803 form a similar pattern to consecutive numbers n and (n+1).
2. I am no expert in integrals. I just replace the sigma with integrals. Sigma are of steps of 1. Integrals are continuous.
