These days

I am focusing on log sheet these days.

The original log system must have been developed in 1740s, 1750s. When Euler made e to the power i into x. The British mathematicians had trigonometric functions.  Euler "magically " combined trigonometry with numbers and gave all of us "mathematics of the working of world".

In India,  in early 1900s a young man in south India,  Ramanujan showed amazing mathematical intuitions.  Prof. GHHardy of Cambridge University discovered his brilliance. Of particular significance is the fact that Ramanujan "got a number".  Later day mathematicians then came to know that this "magical number" actually showed decimals after 90 or 100th place. 

India was a British colony. Ramanujan had to be taken into Cambridge University.  GHHardy did that. He was absolutely kind gentleman and worked with Ramanujan and gave us Indians Ramanujan Theta functions and Ramanujan Tau functions. 

Ramanujan Theta functions and Ramanujan Tau functions were in reality the more suitable number functions for India. And not e^x and log(x).

But Nehru wanted technology for India.  Independent India got exposure to mathematics of science.  Mathematics of technology. Ramanujan Tau functions and Ramanujan Theta functions got a backseat. They are of interest to only a handful of PhD guys these days.

I got hooked up to one particular mathematical thought in 2024. Working on this for two years I made KAAL number.  And now I made log sheet. This is not "Ego". This is statement of facts.

I think I have made a "Final log sheet". I shall paste it tomorrow.  Because it is in office computer.

Standard Deviation Improved ?

I am working on improving the deviation in my log table.

I am using "Excel Calculus" for that. 😄😄😄

Treating numbers according to their sizes

I did a lot of work on log tables. I got 1 zero after decimal and the 2 place within 5. In my log and KAAL number relationship.  This would mean 2 to 3 places of accuracy in log sheet based application in calculations. 

But I hear that this is not enough. 

I think we need calculus. To get more accuracy in log sheet. Because with uniform change nothing much can be achieved beyond this.

I asked Google AI a lot of question in calculus. Is not a small change for a small number larger than the same change for a larger number ?

It was an interesting session with Google Gemini. 

I think this is the end of my log sheet endeavors.  Further development will need joint work in a team. To deliver calculus.

Now, these questions arise in my mind. Will my Qayanat Calculus deliver good results? Can India be proud of its knowledge base?

My Log Sheet

Given below is the log sheet developed by me.

It is not effective as log and e or log10 and 10^x systems we have. They are far too better. 

There are some features of my system which can be considered by eminent teachers and professors. They are:-

1. Indigenous system.

2. One sheet is enough.

3. Only sum, multiplication and division functions of Excel used for making this sheet.

4. Fit for Indian elderly education.

5. Fun game for children.

Yes, I accept that log(x) and e^x are far better.  I have written about it in write up below.

You have also added up the current value with previous value in one column of Microsoft Excel. In what way is it valid ?

My foundation is of consecutive numbers. And also 1 plus 2 plus 3 at an instant. So I believe it is valid that I add the current value to previous value.

I see. What next ?

I am thinking of "Qayanat calculus ". We can involve our neighbor Islamic countries and build consecutivity thing.  His Majesty Government will have to be consulted first. We are not of ruler/scale.  We are of next number. And that is what is the mindset of subcontinent.

Approximately calculating my binomials

Here are two screenshots.  They are nearly equal. 

If we make log like system for 4.4^(1/x), then we can utilize the fact that (2n+1)/(2n) and 4.4^(1/3n) are same.

In the following, the numerator and the denominator are nearly same. Therefore they give about 1 as an answer.

You may observe that as the number in the top of binomial becomes more, more is the tendency towards equality.

Let us recapitulate KAAL number

A lot has been written about KAAL number. There are possibly many confusions because I tried "too much" to make them "accurate". Also I was "hell-bent" on making a gamma function.

This blog post straightens many things.

KAAL number is (Kirtivasan, Abhaya, Akshaya, Lata) number.

Its value is 4.4

I am not doing any gamma equations with KAAL number.

It gives approximate results. Not any of the results are accurate. That is the beauty of KAAL number. Its beauty lies in its approximations.
