Gaja (Elephant) and Kukura (dog) stories

 

I am planning to make stories on Gaja, the elephant and Kukura, the dog.

Both are Indian animals.

Gaja is strong, trusting, intelligent

Kukura is mischievous, faithful, can be corrected

I have just now composed the title music for Gaja and Kukura.

Are you working on mathematics ?

Yes, I am. I have Curve Fitting Basic software in my laptop. I am trying to get (number) to the power of (polynomial) that best fits with (((n+1)(n+2))/2)^n to give us 2n factorial. Preliminary observation seems a straight line. Probably 'Amplifier' region.

What about art ?

It will be Clip Studio Paint. Though it is an oriental thinking processes, it suits me. Much better than Blender, Of course triangle mesh system is there for paper drawings. So, Clip Studio Paint and paper is my present and future plans.

Will you not be using MS Paint, Adobe Bamboo Paper and all ?

MS Paint came with Windows OS. Adobe Bamboo Paper with Wacom. So why should I not be using them?

What about Pencil2D, Blender?

I will not be using them. Camera layer and light does not suit me. Everything has its timeline. And that is what I feel is correct. It is an artists interpretation of what he sees understanding and respecting everything's time factor.

Will you uninstall Pencil2D, Blender etc.?

I do not understand. We are getting oil from Russia and that is what is the main issue. Asking prejudiced and uncomfortable questions are not welcome.

Okay. I am not clear on many things.  Let me say just one fact. I chose History and Electrical engineering as options in my Civil Services attempt. Meaning History of Electrical.  Do you have it ?

Why not ? I don't want to tell my optionals.

Suppose, I arrange 1 week classroom training in Blender 4.5. Will it be possible?

Yes. I shall be delighted.  That is what I want. Blender is most advanced animation software and I am desparate to plug my holes in my understanding and doing high resolution quality animation in Blender 4.5.

Roadside Dhaba - A short story

 

Ganesh was a wonderful person. He was in his 50s. He had a wife and three children. He lived a comfortable life in Delhi in a high rise apartment. There were four rooms in his apartment and he got a room for himself.

Ganesh had varied interests. He was a lover of music. He had a high quality music system. He bought the music system just to listen to Fur Elise intently.

Ganesh loved drawing art. He was good in drawing in paper and got for himself all the imaginable materials. Pencils, crayons of all types. And different type of papers. All of these just to emulate Da Vinci drawings.

Ganesh however was sad. He was serving in Delhi government in the municipality division and was in-charge of sewage unit. His wife was in a top German electrical firm and was earning highly. They were married when love blossomed between them  during college days. He was a man of passion and his wife then was a very practical girl. They thought they would be ideal partners.

Then there was a severe rift between them. His wife would often say she can take care of raising the children and he can move out.

One fine day he did move out with his pencils, drawing notebook and clothes for car cleaning to Murthal, Haryana. He had plans for leading a life in dhaba doing drawings for customers and cleaning their cars.

But he had to influence Captain(Retd.) Ranjeet Arora, who owned the dhaba. He met Captain Arora and showed him his drawings and cleaned and polished his car. Captain Arora was deeply impressed. Captain Arora promised him free breakfast, lunch and dinner in exchange for drawings to customers and cleaning their cars. Captain Arora, then asked about his background and family. But Ganesh did not say anything. And he requested Captain Arora not to enquire about his past. 

Three years moved on. Ganesh impressed the customers to Murthal Dhaba with his cleaning the cars and selling drawings free of cost. He got breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evening he would go to local temple and did meditation for 1 hour. At night he will sleep in his charpouy. He was leading a contended man.

One fine day customers came in a black Mercedes car. Captain Arora on seeing the brand of car immediately called for Ganesh and asked him to clean, polish the car and give them his best drawings free. Ganesh agreed.

After about an hour, the customers namely a woman and three grown up kids came up towards the black Mercedes car after having sumptuos dhaba meal. Captain Arora also came down with them.

Ganesh immediately recognized that the woman and the three grown up kids were his own family. His own blood relatives. His own world. The people who mattered the most. Ganesh started crying. He could not stop himself from weeping profusely. His wife also recognized Ganesh and there were tears in her eyes too. The kids then hugged their papa. Captain Arora who was watching the situation now fully understood what is what.

Captain Arora in his full military command style ordered the family to be together. Ordered the wife to take back Ganesh. Ordered Ganesh to show positivity. Ordered Ganesh and the family to lead a happy life. And ordered them to leave.

Ganesh, his wife and the three kids obeyed the orders of Captain Arora. And they all left in their black Mercedes.

. . . And Captain Arora for the first time in his life had tears in his eyes.

I shall consider myself a successful artist if

1. Understand, memorize and use all the shortcuts and facilities of Blender 4.5

2. Able to draw Indian Manga animation 

3. Able to use Lasso Tool

4. Able to make sphere, cone, cylinder, cube and pyramids with triangular mesh

Is it possible to be Kim Jung Gi ?

I am confused. And unable to focus. As to what should be my aim ?

Triangular Mesh System

 

Q i am following the mesh system in paper drawing with triangular mesh. Triangles were with me for quite some time. I did 3d improvemnt also with triangles. Will it be a copyright violation if I use and develop triangular mesh system for improving drawing in paper ?

You talk of mathematics.  You talk of art. Why two areas ?

I believe I am strong in Golden Ratio.  In 9th class at the age of 15 I saw Golden Ratio. I believe God wants me to see the principles of Golden ratio.  And Golden Ratio is in mathematics.  And Golden Ratio is in art. That is why I talk of mathematics.  I talk of art.

Should you not be showing proofs in mathematics?

We were taught about proofs as the way in developing mathematics right from school days. Guys prove Wallis pi by 2. Guys prove Madhava pi by 4. Guys prove Stirling gamma approximation formula.  My pi by 3 root3 can be shown to be pi by 3 root3. Is showing the same as proofs ?

Yes. Of course. Why did you not write papers on pi by 3 root3,  then ?

I wrote papers and thought big journals will be only interested in research scope, that's why. I did not know that a statement and showing that it equals exactly something is a paper material. 

I understand.  Are you focused on 2d animation,  now ?

Very much. As focused as Arjuna about to release his arrow on the bird's eye.

You have finalized your art looks for 2d animation.  What next now ?

In paper, pencil and pen for poses practices.  In paper pencil for steps in animation practices.  In paper, pencil for backgrounds practices.  In digital Microsoft Paint for poses practices.  In digital Adobe Bamboo Paper for steps in animation practices.  In digital Adobe Bamboo Paper for backgrounds practices.  All PDCA of Edwards Deming. 

What about coloring ?

Coloring as per the planned need is a simple step only. Just make the borders invisible so to say. And add darker shades to each and every color.

And lighter shades to each and every color ?

Yes. That too. So a color, darker than color and lighter than color.

Will you be doing 3D sculpting,  3D animation?

No. My ikigai is 2D animation.  I plan to use time like Japanese and stay strictly on 2D animation. Focused time usage.

Clip Studio Paint or Pencil2d software for 2d animation?

Pencil2d software. I can manage all the things I have in mind for 2D animation in Pencil2d. 

What is the guarantee that you will not learn 3d sculpting,  3d animation?

You are testing my desires tolerance.  It is my promise to Buddha that I shall resist 3d art temptations fully. If temptations are high, then I shall do paper drawings at the most.  But in digital it is Pencil2d only.

Why did you not use Blender for 2d animation ? 

Blender has a complicated user menus and difficult to understand settings and controls and user interaction facilities. Pencil2D is you see and you understand. I am in the GODI of MODA government but my case is not done a MODA but accepted. Point is everything gets delayed and I may end up in SODA spectacles.

3 step humans and 2 steps background

I am getting into animation. Here is a sample drawn on Pencil2d.

Ultimately, I want to do animations in this Internationally accepted style.

My requirements fulfilled in Pencil2d

All my necessary drawing needs have been achieved. To draw animation in Pencil2D.

Pencil2D single frame drawn now as per my needs.

2d animation and only 2d animation

I have fixed my plans in art. Fixed my focus in art. And shall strive to not change further.

It is 2d animation.

There are problems to my objective. In coloring. Concerning outlines. And I am thinking of calling outlining as inking.

There are no problems in doing a pencil drawing.

To uplift my mood and keep myself focused, I shall indulge in sex drawings. It will not be made public, however.

To improve my quality, I shall do PDCA.

 1.        6 drawings PDCA, namely -90,+90,-45,+45,0,145 to 225. 

 2.        3 drawings PDCA, namely 3 steps in action; step 1, step 2, step 3.

 3.        2 drawings PDCA of backgrounds, namely 90 and 45.

PDCA practices shall be done in RDCIS office. In my blank register with normal HB pencils.

At home, I shall do digital drawings.

4.6 is KAAL number. 4.666 is not KAAL number. I have changed thus. Of course KAAL stands for Kirtivasan, Abhaya, Akshaya, Lata. 

I shall show in detail some more properties of 4.6. Also I shall show why 4.6 is more suitable than 4.666.

Fundamentals of Drawing by Barrington Barber

 I have ordered 'Fundamentals of Drawing' by Barrington Barber from Amazon, in paperback.

I like fundamental books. I read them. Andrew Loomis, Giovanni Civardi. They do not stay just in the almirah but they are opened and looked for how to approach drawing a difficult thing.

I have ordered 'Fundamentals of Drawing' by Barrington Barber for the same reason. To read for guidance and know the fundamentals.

What is your plan on mathematics ?

Nothing now. Mathematics was never my objective. It is just about expressions.  And wanting to know what masters think. However drawing art is very deep in desires. Art is a thirst that never gets quenched in me.

You were doing art in paper. Why did you switch over to digital?

I wanted to develop a source of earning that's why. Digital art are so well organized and goes so well with modern world. They are needed for earning in today's world.

But paper art also sells.

Yes. In rupees.  And in cash.

What do you plan to do with paper art materials?

I plan to keep them with me. If things get worse then even cash in rupees are welcome.  

Do you do serious paper art these days ?

No I don't.  That pains me. I feel guilty of leaving the old system. But of course PDCA practices and all I do on paper only. So basically the colored art materials is what is idle. It is okay to not use colored pencils,  crayons,  I think.

What about art books ?

Books I can read anytime. Andrew Loomis books and all are so precious. No point in giving these away. There are so many points to imbibe from them.

What are your plans in digital?

My desires keep growing.  Till last week it was 2d animation.  Now I want to do 3d animation. But basically digital art is about a team. By staying alone I can just learn technique and art software fundamentals.

You will be alone. Now, what is your plan in art ?

Learn 3d animation as much as I can. Do a 2minute 2d animation all by myself. Aim for a  2 minute 3d animation all by myself.  And if time permits brush up paper drawing skills and practice for potential to earn money in rupees. These are my Plans.

You will be alone in mathematics too. What are your plans ?

Use Wikipedia. Learn concepts in mathematics.  Try to get concepts in palm of hands. And give donation to Wikipedia. As I always do. Use Wolfram Alpha and apply palm of hands concepts in expressions.  These are my Plans.
