Steep Targets and Financial Losses Ahead.

In comic drawing, I need to get into exteriors. It is a steep target. I have to begin from almost a scratch. And then interiors. This is also a very steep target. In interiors, I need not start from scratch, but still very difficult.

Above all, match interiors and exteriors with humans and animals. In proportions and perspective. 

Then, why did I start ? Because I wanted to tell stories.

Why do I think Financial Losses ahead ? Because my comics 'Behavo' is a failure.

But I have decided and plan to be focused. And continue. In digital, it will be complete comic drawing. And in paper, colored pencil drawing of Hindu Gods.

My golden ratio abilities, my bhakti shall be my guiding force.

Towards dream objectives

• Practices

1. I plan to copy drawings from Jyotsna Prakashan books that are with me. Pratap Mullick, Rahul Deshpande , Nandurkar and others. This will improve my drawing abilities
2.  PDCA practices for comic drawing.

• Theory

        I have many books by great authors like Giovanni Civardi, Andrew Loomis and others.

Mathematics

• I plan to allocate budget and  make a list of a few books on Abel, Gauss, Euler and others. I shall later before retirement buy them.

Music

• To listen to and appreciate Anirudh Ravichandar, more closely.
• To listen to and appreciate Sachin-Jigar more closely.

Physical Activities

• I like cleaning cars and polishing them. I have all the necessary materials for polishing cars. Car is a great invention and I feel like cleaning and polishing regularly.
• I enjoy shopping for things and easily am able to allocate time to make shopping lists. I usually buy things after leaving office and before entering my quarter inside our SAIL colony. Tribal paintings are one of the more exquisite purchases that I have made.

what should one do

We are all social animals. Some want to improve processes in Indian society, Indian system and in oneself.

But then a young Indian (from whom we expect a lot) might be confused. What should he really aim for?

I suggest he should aim for PDCA cycle in his activities.

PDCA is very similar to flowcharts. That is what is so important. A flow chart has a parallelogram(Plan), a rectangle( Do and Act) and a diamond (Check).

I asked the following question to Google AI. Is flowcharts of PDCA cycle. The answer is Yes.

The Japanese Quality concepts are "Vague", "Emotional", "Social". But they claim that quality has to do with robustness (Genichi Taguchi) in methods.

The problem with Modi is he has paved the way in general. Meaning to all the people in India. But he is not more specific. For example "Art can be a source of earning". We expect him to pave way for Manga, Webtoons here in India. He is not doing it. Another example "Nature approved scholarship". We expect him to pave way in science projects, engineering projects here in India for nature approved theoreticians with practicality. He is not doing it.

Maybe Modi 3.0 will pave a way. I personally am keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't think it is easy to decipher me. I am close to Taylor series. Taylor series as such is of right triangle, factorials and (x-a)^n. But there is one point missing. They are of consecutive numbers too.

At any row, the number of 1s exceed number of 0s by one number. Which essentially means they are consecutive.

Also I did a lot of work in combination(2n,n), The partial sums of combination (2n,n) is also simple. Though approximate. Look at this  

There are two partial sums from my side. They make infinite series easier. 

My bhakti is for Virgin Mary who gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem.

food habits

The following is the most general habit when it comes to eating.

I am a vegetarian. I feel the opposite is true for me. Eat breakfast like a pauper, lunch like a prince and dinner like a king. Probably this is true for all vegans.

My point is there is so much of variance when it comes to just eating. What is + for some is - for other. And there are so many difference of opinions when it comes to other aspects of human life. My aim is to quantify this factor and put the +/- 0.5 to the human range.

That is what is my earlier expression is about.

More on infinite series

I think I can get the Archimedes constant Pi and the Golden ratio completely with my understanding and my knowledge. I am now a master of these two constants.  These two expressions. 

Wolfram alpha is able to get convergent values of all convergent series. If it converges, you get a value they seem to be saying.

My practices for comics

My practices in comics drawing is going on. I am focusing on humans, animals and objects. 

Interiors and exteriors are also practiced but not that much. And frame composition,  inking and story telling are needed. But not now.

I want to achieve the level of Alex Raymond who made Rip Kirby comics. I am fascinated by his illustrations and want to be like him.

Roadmap Drawn

Comics are a great medium.  Probably greater than movies. Because of images. You can show how a root of a plant grows below the ground.  The same thing is not possible in a movie. 

Now I have made a roadmap for my comic art journey.  I shall be self learning.  I did not join a course because of foreign exchange. 

The roadmap.

One drawing takes maximum 2 minutes.  I shall be using the time available to me at home here in Ranchi.  I am staying with my mother.  And have 4 hours of free time. I shall be drawing with my Bose system playing the music in the background. 😆

There are three reasons why I believe there will be improvement in drawing abilities. 

1. The 5 perspective poses namely 2 into 50% and 2 into 75% and 1 into 100% worked for me in becoming a cartoonist. 

2. I have a theory that 3 sided triangle need to be accurate while 4 sided irregular polygon need not be.

3. I have been working on golden ratio. Phi formulas. 

Occasionally, To the point cartoons and sometimes portraits will be drawn and made into a blog post in My Cartoons blog. For your entertainment.

The meaning

 

Slowly, steadily and correctly

I shall be doing drawings for comic artist.  Comics are powerful media as one can tell stories.  

But I realize accuracy has to be made a habit. 

So I shall be correct. And try to accelerate on correct footing. Accurate triangles and appropriate quadrilaterals will be mantra in my approach to drawings in the next two quarters.

Life plans

Three plans.

1. Become an above average comic artist. Lesser than Anupam Sinha!!

2. Learn Rudram. Shiva mantras.

3. Learn Malayalam.  Family essentials to some extent. 

I have downloaded necessary apps. But I don't know whether I can focus enough to learn above three. 😀😀😀

47 drawings per day

You may be aware of my plans of becoming a comic artist.

You may have noted that the month of January will be for drawing hands; and from 17th onwards till 31st January I shall be learning outdoor perspective drawings.

Here I am outlining what I shall do from February 1st, 2024 till December 31st, 2024.

Kindle book on hypergeometric functions

It was necessary to get the kindle book. Because the atmosphere in township of RDCIS is more for hypergeometric functions than my hopes of becoming a comic artist.  Another reason is #Pythashastri,  1,x,x squared,  x cubed.  . . model of mine which is close to hypergeometric distribution and functions. 

I shall spread the expression of the type a^n by combination (bn,cn) summed up from 1 to infinity and allow to be banged by its equivalence to hypergeometric functions. 

Hypergeometric functions are likely to be easy for me. Just like learning advanced calculus to an IITian.

Journey towards becoming a comic artist - 5

I have changed my plans towards becoming a comic artist.  And that is I shall include inking too in my daily practice.  What I mean is I shall practice man, woman, kids, animals, objects, buildings,  vegetations and all daily in different perspectives with pencils.  I shall also be inking them then and there or at a later time. I realized there is no point in doing inking at a later time. Whatever needs to be done for a complete comic namely drawing and inking, should be started immediately and both together.

So my complete comic practice starts from today. And I shall practice till 5 years or till when I am happy with my drawings.  Whichever is earlier.  Currently my plans are to stay in paper. Not going digital.

I am doing inking with these. I bought them about 7 years ago when doing cartoons. These were imported from USA.

Educational activities begin

 

Yesterday was a day of prayers and plans and wishes in education. 

And today the practice.  I took my bath. And after applying ashes on my forehead (Shiva tradition) I did namaskarams before God. And then I read a page from Ramanujan book. As a symbolism.

Aim

To be a very good comic artist.  To be a good colored pencils portrait artist. To have access to mathematics journals,  books and resources. 

Why

Comic artist because it encompasses all aspects of drawing namely accuracy, perspective, 3d and light and shadows. Colored pencils portrait artist because it is a money earner. Mathematics because I want to learn digamma,  partial sums, convergence, binomials, trigonometric functions,  hypergeometric functions, number theories and golden ratio applications.

I have Faber Castell polychromos pencils,  Doms colored pencils,  Camlin oil pastels,  Camlin poster colors,  colored gel pens, Staedtler Luna watercolor pencils,  Mont Marte skin colored pencils,  Brustro skin tone colored pencils,  Crayola skin colored pencils,  Crayola skin colored wax crayons,  Staedtler Mars Lumograph Drawing pencils,  Yissvic pencils set, Artline Drawing System gel pens black, waterproof black ink; and other local items like HB pencils, graded pencils, local black ink, black ballpoint pens, black 0.5 gel pens, black sketch pens; and also nibs and pen holder for cartoon making, local art brushes, blending sticks,  kneaded eraser, white gel pens, white charcoal pencils. I have partial differential equations book and complex analysis book and Wikipedia over internet for mathematics. I have Ochre colored notebook,  Grey colored notebook and thick and normal white A4 sized papers.

Then What

I will be able to teach society conceptually in golden ratio and pi and light and shades and consecutive numbers applications in drawing and mathematics. 

My plans and my prayers

There are so many great guys out there who should be emulated.

Euler, Gauss, Ramanujan in mathematics. 

Da Vinci, Raja Ravi Verma in art.

And the present day comic artists in West and  East.  

Starting from tomorrow I shall do the following 

1. Draw left hand. Same pose. Different angles.

2. Use a mirror and draw left hand. Same pose. Different angles. 

3. Use 3D modeling app and draw objects, animals, interiors, exteriors. Many possible angles. I have booked the app Rs 3200 for a year.

4. Draw perspective of humans in different angles.

5. Use normal student ink, fountain pen and brushes for inking as I will be a black and white comic artist.  No waterproof black ink needed.

Steps 1,2,3 in October,  November and December 2023.

Steps 4 and 5 from January 2024.

But only prayers it is for today.

 I have made plans which are complete and which I feel are necessary in becoming a comic artist. 

Here it goes. 

(Why comic artist? Because to tell a story is a natural thing. Moreover I feel it can "naturally" improve the Indian economy.  And improving Indian economy is my kartavya.)
