Triangular Mesh System

Q i am following the mesh system in paper drawing with triangular mesh. Triangles were with me for quite some time. I did 3d improvemnt also with triangles. Will it be a copyright violation if I use and develop triangular mesh system for improving drawing in paper ?

A Based on intellectual property principles, using a triangular mesh system for drawing is not a copyright violation. Copyright law protects the specific expression of an idea, not the underlying idea, method, or system itself. Since a triangular mesh is a mathematical concept and a technique, it cannot be copyrighted.

Here's a breakdown of why your use and development of this technique are safe:

·         Copyright protects expression, not ideas: The fundamental concept of using triangles to map and improve a drawing is an unprotectable idea. Your original drawings created with the technique would be protected by copyright, but the method itself is not.

·         Concepts vs. execution: This is known as the "idea-expression divide" in copyright law. Anyone can use the concept of a triangular mesh. A copyright violation would only occur if you copied another artist's specific, finished artwork that was made using the technique.

·         Techniques are not copyrightable: Art and drawing techniques, methods, and processes—like using a triangular mesh—are considered general knowledge and are not eligible for copyright protection. This is similar to how a cooking recipe can't be copyrighted, but a book of recipes can.

·         Patent protections are unlikely: While patents protect new and non-obvious processes, a basic triangular mesh is a long-established mathematical concept. It is extremely unlikely that you could obtain a patent for a drawing technique that uses such a widely known concept.

·         Freedom for development: You are free to innovate and develop the triangular mesh system for your own work. Your unique modifications and original artistic applications of the technique would be your intellectual property, but the underlying method remains in the public domain for all to use.

In short, feel confident in developing and using your drawing system. Your original art is yours, and the basic technique belongs to everyone.

Triangular mesh is better than material mesh of Clip Studio.
Triangular mesh can be zeroed by its point. Better than Blender.

Paper is better

Scaling, rotation may be non uniform but can be bettered easier by adding smaller triangles.

The drawing philosophy. The triangle of Greeks.
